Signs of the Times

Just a few things I noticed of late about the times we live in....


This is based upon some magazine covers.. at a Dr.'s office visit in 2010.  There was a plethora of magazines for the visitor to this office to see, learn from, and entertain themselves while they waited for time with the doctor.  Here is some of what I observed.

 Attitude is everything, and since many women and men are "pegged" against each other as such different "species" many women tend to think that they know better than men.  Subsequently, men have happily abdicated the difficult role of leadership to women.  Now, don't get me wrong, I know women are great leaders... thinkers... doers, I am a woman.  However, I did read statements in the very well planned and photographed article, like, "It is rarely noted that the financial wreckage littering our world is the creation, almost exclusively, of men, not women."  Really?  "Rarely noted"?  Exclusively the wreckage of men?  What about those women who love to "shop?"  I think their overspending is  equally to blame.

Anyhow, here are the "Sheriffs" of Wall Street, according to TIME  mag.

Here is another wonder..... the promotion of raising one child and how it is a "myth" that they will grow up being "selfish, spoiled or lonely."   Nope.  TIME says, those kids are just fine.
